Jack has more than 30 years of executive, managerial, and technical experience, focused on the effective definition and implementation of information systems strategies to serve complex healthcare delivery systems. Mr. Kowitt's provider history includes executive level IS leadership for public academic institutions and integrated healthcare networks and children's hospitals. As a solution supplier with software and consulting organizations he has held management positions in product development, implementation and operations.

He currently serves as Executive Vice President of Anthelio Healthcare Solutions Inc.where he works on the executive team responsible for innovation, process improvement and growing the organization. He also acts as Executive Advisor to several consulting practices including clinical informatics and transformation, EHR Services and IT Outsourcing. Just prior to joining Anthelio, Mr. Kowitt was Sr. Vice President of Information Services for Parkland Health and Hospital System, one of the nation’s leading public hospital systems, from 2003-2010. At Parkland he was responsible for the replacement of most legacy systems with an Epic implementation project that also included a complete network and workstation upgrade. This $85M project brought Parkland to one of the top 2% of all hospitals in the country in use of IT. During his last two years at Parkland he was on several teams in the planning and design of the 2.2 million square foot, $1.2B replacement hospital. Among the teams was the IT visioning task force which both set to goals for information systems in the new hospital and described the impacts on processes staff will face in the facility.

Mr. Kowitt has also held positions at a Southwestern 25-entity healthcare enterprise, comprised of all delivery modalities: inpatient, outpatient, HMO, MSO, and IPA and a major teaching hospital in Southern California. He was also a Vice President of a national healthcare consulting firm with responsibilities in the Interim Management practice, Strategic Planning, Information Systems effectiveness and Outsourcing areas. While consulting he also worked with IS steering committees to improve organizational use of IS, IS planning and performance measurement. While with software vendors he had responsibility for implementation project management and participated in product design and development activities

He is a skilled speaker and presenter and has written articles on a variety of topics for publication in major healthcare journals including Computers in Healthcare, the American Hospital Association Journal and Nursing Administrative Quarterly. His educational credentials include a BBA in Statistics and MBA work in Operations Management. He also has teaching credential in New York, California and Arizona for management and information technology subjects.

Jack is married to Carole and has four children who have seven more children. That’s as close as he’ll come to admitting he’s a grandfather!
