"Knapp Medical Center will be where: Patients seek their healthcare; Doctors seek to practice; Community seeks healthcare information and education; Volunteers seek to serve; Employees seek to work." This is the vision statement of Knapp Medical Center and they chose PHNS(now Anthelio) as their technology and electronic health record (EHR) business process partner to help make this vision a reality.
On June 26, Rick Kneipper, Chairman of the Coalition for Improving Patient Care through Information Technology (CIPCIT) and Chief Administrative Officer and Co-Founder of PHNS(now Anthelio), Inc., presented a staff briefing to the Congressional Health Care Caucus in Washington, DC. The presentation was titled "Has the Stimulus Advanced Health IT?" It focuses U.S. healthcare and the federal stimulus money.
As a result of PHNS’(now Anthelio) efforts and expertise in managing the revenue-cycle at TGH, the hospital’s cash collection significantly increased, consistently exceeding the $2 million mark in January through May of 2007. PHNS’(now Anthelio) guidance to TGH at a crucial stage allowed the hospital to smoothly maneuver through a large grid of challenges and changes.
"PHNS’ role in the systemization of the EMR has improved our productivity, reshaped our business processes and allowed us to do more for less," said Phil Incarnati, President and Chief Executive Officer of MHC. "PHNS continues to play a key role in MHC's ability to stay competitive and profitable at a time when so many other not-for-profit hospitals are hurting. PHNS is helping us live up to our mission to be Michigan's best value in healthcare as defined by quality outcomes and cost."
“I was amazed at how quickly PHNS(now Anthelio) was able to assess the situation, develop a plan and implement it to make a positive impact,” said Gale Easley, Board President of CCMC. Thanks to PHNS’(now Anthelio) financial and operational assistance, CCMC is on the path to future financial success so that it can continue its mission to provide healthcare services to the Comanche community.
