Hamot Medical Center Selects PHNS for Onsite Coding Compliance Audits

DALLAS, TX- December 15, 2006 – Hamot Medical Center (HMC), a 343-bed hospital located in Erie, Pennsylvania, has selected PHNS to provide an onsite audit of their emergency department coding division of their Health Information Management (HIM) department.  PHNS will provide HMC with a thorough review of emergency department medical records to ensure accuracy in documentation and applied coding, as well as to provide any necessary recommendations and education to the coding staff. 

In addition, HMC’s Primary Care Network has selected PHNS to provide an audit of medical records for one of their newest physician practice groups.  PHNS will provide HMC’s Primary Care Network with a thorough review of physician practice medical records to ensure accuracy in documentation and applied coding, as well as to provide any necessary recommendations and education to the physicians and office staff.
