PHNS Completes SLUCare EHR Readiness Assessment

DALLAS, TX- June 15, 2006 – PHNS announced that it has completed an in-depth assessment of the electronic health record (EHR) implementation readiness of The Physicians of St. Louis University School of Medicine (SLUCare).  PHNS’ reviewed SLUCare’s EHR project plan and its operations, processes, physical layout, systems functionality and organizational structure regarding its planned EHR implementation.

PHNS has extensive experience in EHR conversion services, including in particular the McKesson and Cerner Millennium group of applications.  PHNS has successfully implemented 13 full hospital EHR conversions, resulting in significant operating and capital dollar savings for PHNS’ customers.

“Before spending a significant amount of money and resources for an EHR purchase and implementation, SLUCare decided to get independent expert advice regarding our readiness to implement an EHR,” said Jeffrey Mossoff, CMPE, Chief Executive Officer of SLUCare.  “PHNS’ EHR services were a great help to SLUCare, particularly because of PHNS’ unique combination of EHR, information technology and medical records management expertise.”
