Karmanos Cancer Center Enters Medical Records Relationship with PHNS

DALLAS, TX- May 24, 2006 –  PHNS announced that it has entered into an agreement to provide all medical records management services to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Hospital d/b/a Karmanos Cancer Center, Detroit, Michigan.   Karmanos Cancer Center is Michigan’s first and only hospital exclusively focused on caring for cancer patients.  It recently became an independent entity by acquiring the cancer hospital operations of The Detroit Medical Center, where PHNS has been providing medical records management services since 2002.

PHNS provides Karmanos Cancer Center with health information management, medical records, transcription, coding and abstracting, release of information and other related services.
