LSU HCSD’s Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center selects PHNS to Provide Health Information Management Consulting Services

Dallas, TX - April 11, 2007 - Louisiana State University Health Care Services Division’s Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center (LJC), a flagship of Disease Management within the LSU HCSD Disease Management Programs in Diabetes, Asthma, HIV-AIDS and Cancer Screening, has chosen PHNS to provide comprehensive coding auditing and interim management services for its Health Information Management (HIM) department. PHNS will provide LJC with experienced, credentialed HIM professionals to perform thorough reviews of medical record coding to ensure accuracy in documentation and applied coding and to oversee the operations of the HIM department and implementation of new technology. 

PHNS’ HIM Division currently provides interim staff placement, coding, auditing, education, release of information, records management and transcription services for over 385 healthcare customers. All services are offered on an “as needed” basis or on a full service outsourcing relationship.
