PHNS to Host Ribbon Cutting

Springfield, MO - April 4, 2007 - The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, for PHNS Inc. located in the SpringNet Underground facility at 3253 E. Chestnut Expressway.  

PHNS Inc. has announced that its new subterranean, national data center for PHNS’ hospital customers will be located 85 feet underground in the SpringNet Underground facility, a division of City Utilities of Springfield. PHNS will migrate a significant portion of its national hospital data center operations to its new data center.

PHNS’ new data center will create healthcare technology job opportunities in the Springfield area and PHNS is working with Ozarks Technical Community College and other local colleges and universities to obtain graduates with the necessary technical expertise.

Directions to ribbon cutting: From Hwy 65, turn east onto Kearney. Springfield Underground is on the south side of Kearney and is marked by a Springfield Underground sign. Individuals will be directing parking and entrance into Springfield Underground. Please arrive early to allow time for parking.
