PHNS’ hospital partners have
received over 150% of promised savings to date, a 20%
reduction in IT and HIM operating costs and over $60
million in cost savings. Today, hospital partners represent
1/3 of PHNS’ Board of Directors.
PHNS’ partnership is unique because PHNS delivers results by focusing on improving services and business processes, not on selling software, eliminating employees or providing unnecessary consulting. PHNS also assumes management of complex vendor contracts and always maintains vendor neutrality and leverage. PHNS also delivers additional cost savings by leveraging national agreements with hardware, technology, software, consulting and telephony vendors.
Over the last five years, PHNS has made
promises and kept them for its Hospital Partners. PHNS
has delivered the following results to its Hospital Partners:
- 150% of promised savings to date
- $36.1 million in total cost savings with cash savings of $14.3 million and operational efficiency savings of $21.8 million (non-cash)
- Up to 20% reduction in IT and HIM operating costs
- $90 million in cash and stock at closing
- $67 million in funding for IT and HIM capital expenditures
- Minimum impact on transitioned hospital partner IT and HIM personnel—PHNS has a low attrition rate for transitioned employees
