Proper, accurate coding creates a positive effect on the revenue cycle. PHNS offers both on-site and remote coding to fit the need and specifications of its hospital partners. PHNS provides a wide range of coding solutions, designed to provide both revenue cycle improvement in HIM services and ensure revenues are being realized.
The variety of services includes the following
facility and physician services:
- Inpatient
- Emergency department
- Outpatient surgical
- Outpatient diagnostic
- EMS
- Physician outpatient clinic
Additionally, PHNS provides physicians with
clinic coding, DRG reviews, auditing and APC reviews. Today,
PHNS
is coding for over 100 hospital facilities and codes over
2 million charts per year (including 1.5 million emergency
room charts). The PHNS coding team is composed of over
100 experienced, credentialed (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P,
RN, CPC) coders. All PHNS coders must maintain a minimum
95% accuracy rate, and coders are provided with incentives
for a rate of 99% accuracy or higher.
