Kenneth "Ken" Breckenridge
Lead IT Consultant

Ken Breckenridge's technology-rich career spans nearly 35 years and includes experience in software development, telecommunications software development and management, client server integration, data center management and Y2K application code renovation. He and business technology pioneer Charles "Chick" Young, now the Chairman and CEO of PHNS, enjoy a relationship that goes back to the 1970s when they worked together to get two banking technology corporations, MTech and Affiliated Computer Services "ACS"), up and running.

MTech, which was the world's leading seller of automatic teller machines, provided Breckenridge with many opportunities for problem solving and leadership. He was the lead specialist on many projects and technology initiatives.

He was closely involved in pre-sale support, including costing solution scenarios and drawing up proposals, migration planning and implementation for new clients, which involved housing new data on the MTech system, and day-to-day support of client systems, including problem determination and solution. When MTech converted from a central data center with a DOS/VSE-based environment to a major-shared MVS environment with VM and DOS/VSE subordinate systems, Breckenridge led the charge.

After MTech, Breckenridge worked for 10 years as ACS' senior vice president of technology services. There he handled a variety of assignments including technology planning, marketing support, client contract reviews, vendor contract negotiations and other special project activities. He was closely involved on a corporate team for major acquisitions, one which represented a nearly 33 percent increase in annual revenues. Another acquisition saved $1.5 million annually, and yet another involved a disaster recovery agreement that provided a significant increase in the resources available, saving the company $140,000 annually.

A self described "back-room technician" and devout family man, Breckenridge and his wife live outside of Dallas in Grand Prarie. They have two grown sons and three grandchildren. Through the years, Breckenridge has been involved in youth baseball as a coach, and his favorite subjects are grandchildren, travel and computers.
