Executive Team: Scott Thompson
Scott Thompson
President, Venyu (NTG and AmeriVault Subsidiaries)
In 1989, the same year Intel introduced the 486 processor and Tim Berners-Lee designed the World Wide Web, NTG opened its doors as a consultancy specializing in the design, development, and maintenance of networks throughout Louisiana. Founder Scott Thompson envisioned opportunities overlooked by others in the field and addressed them with innovative systems and support resulting in tremendous growth and a national presence. By the year 2000, NTG had designed, constructed and opened the very first commercial datacenter in Baton Rouge, Louisiana's capital.
NTG was acquired by PHNS (Dallas, Texas) in 2007 providing NTG a third datacenter in Springfield, Missouri. In 2008, NTG acquired AmeriVault (Waltham, Massachusetts), a leading provider of data backup and recovery. Today, Mr. Thompson and Venyu, previously NTG and Amerivault, strive to provide the best data protection and availability solutions possible.
